Medthin™ 61 ZrCN
ZrCN coating for surgical instruments
Medthin™ 61 ZrCN, has light gold colour or copper depending on the amount of carbon content in the cubic ZrN matrix. ZrCN coating is suitable for use in colour coding of surgical instruments. The coating is overall resistant having a lower wear rate compared to ZrN and have a good adhesion to all substrates. Functional ZrCN coatings can be deposited at higher thicknesses but the color coding ZrCN is typically deposited at about 2µm.
