Medthin™ 42 DLC
DLC coating for surgical instruments
Medthin™ 42 DLC is a multilayer coating with a Chromium Nitride (CrN) base layer followed by a thin interlayer made of WCC and a top DLC (carbon) layer. The base layers confer to Medthin™ 42 DLC a high load carrying capacity and improved scratch resistance whereas the top layer in DLC confer high hardness and low friction making this coating the superior choice for coating surgical instruments.
