Quality Control Technician

If so, the Quality Control Technician position at IHI Ionbond – Madison Heights Coating Center could be your perfect match! Join our dynamic team, make a tangible impact, and report directly to the Quality Supervisor at our state-of-the-art local coating center.
What do we ask?
- Inspects coated parts for coating thickness, coating adherence, surface finish, substrate & coating hardness, size, and appearance, records inspection information consistent with prescribed methods and procedures
- Conduct audits under supervision; control plan audits, product audits, 5S, HSE, QMS self-assessment and customer supplied audit forms
- Maintain a clean workstation; ensure it is functioning within required safety guidelines, and maintaining lab equipment
- Must be able to read and understand PFMEA and control plans
- Ensure that equipment in inspection area is calibrated and bring to attention of supervisor on any non-conforming condition
- Testing materials and finished products to ensure they conform to all applicable laws and company standards.
- Perform SPC Audits to ensure consistency with prescribed SPC charts and recommends the disposition of and/or acceptable corrective action for nonconforming parts within established Quality Assurance guidelines
- Use precision measuring instruments and makes precision inspection set-ups

Who are we looking for?
High School Diploma is required minimum education
At least two years experience working in a quality lab setting
Mainly performing QC and QA testing procedures
Proficient PC Skills
Microsoft Office, Excel
Organizational and Time Management Skills
Strong critical thinking skills. Effective communication skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Good dexterity skills, able to handle precision machined parts.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and pass a criminal background check and physical screening.
