Latest coating technology and premium coatings at Ionbond India

Ionbond India is pleased to announce the expansion of their coating capacity with a new Hauzer Flexicoat™ 1250 PVD coating system with CARC+  capabilities. “We now have increased availability of our Plus range of coatings for cutting tools and premium coatings for forming and molding tools,” says Atul Kulkarni, Executive Director for Ionbond India. “With this new coating system, we can now serve more customers from a location closer to them, with a shorter delivery time.”

The combination of specialist coatings for a range of tools supports the whole manufacturing trajectory in India: with the right cutting tool coatings, manufacturers of forming and molding tools can reach more cost efficiency. With the right protective coatings for forming and molding tools, manufacturers can have many advantages: a longer service lifetime, improved productivity, excellent product quality, minimized scrap rate and reduced machine downtime.

Improving manufacturing efficiency in all industries

“Around the end of the Covid pandemic, manufacturing in India got a large boost  ,” says Atul. “Large investments have resulted in a good manufacturing platform and hub for engineering. Right now, India is the fastest-growing economy in the G20 nations, with growth in all industries, including aerospace, automotive, and the medical sector.” This growing manufacturing industry means that there is more pressure to be cost-effective and take advantage of state-of-the-art coatings and technologies to be more productive.
