Medthin™ 40 MeDLC
MeDLC coating for complex shape parts
Medthin™ 40 “Metal Diamond Like Carbon” , is a low surface roughness coating based on Carbon amorphous phase embedding the crystalline crystals of Tungsten Carbide. The coating is harder than Medthin™ 33 CrCN and it can be declined in grey or black color. The advantage of “Metal DLC” coatings is that they are easier to apply to complex geometries and rough surface preparations due to their low hardness and high ductility keeping a very low friction coefficient. Ideal when a high confidence of coating adhesion over the entire complex shape parts is required combined with good mechanical performance.
