Medthin™ 16 TiAlN
Bronze PVD coating for color coding
The bronze colored Medthin™ 16 TiAlN’s high wear resistance and adhesion, excellent resistance to alkaline and acidic cleaning and sterilization makes it a superior alternative to chrome plating of surgical and dental instruments and is often used for color coding. Medthin™ 16 TiAlN is also used for coating implants in order to increase the wear resistance of the components and as a barrier to ion release. It is suitable for implant systems with UHMWPE.
