Medthin™ 10 TiCN

TiCN coating for medical instruments & hospital hardware

Medthin 10 TiCN has carbon inside the TiN cubic matrix strengthening and conferring a pink colour to this coating. TiCN has high wear resistance, high hardness, superior adhesion and is an excellent chemical barrier, which makes it an ideal coating for medical instruments and hospital hardware.  Its high resistance to alkaline and acidic cleaning and sterilization cycles makes it a superior alternative to chrome plating on surgical and dental instruments. Medthin 10 TiCN is deposited at temperatures between 150°C and 450°C. The wide range of temperatures allows for a variety of materials to be coated by means of adapting the deposition temperatures to suit the substrate materials without impacting geometries.
