Ionbond is pleased to announce that their facilities in Chassieu (Lyon), Le Mée sur Seine (Paris) and Grisolles (Toulouse) have been awarded EN 9100 certification. The EN 9100 certification is based on the ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems standard and demonstrates the ability to meet the stringent requirements of aerospace suppliers and manufacturers.
Franck Derangère, Managing Director of Ionbond France SAS said: “The EN 9100 certification is part of our continuous improvement program where we strive to deliver top quality and service to our customers, and is a testament to our dedication to the aerospace segment.”
Ionbond coatings are used widely within the aerospace industry in order to reduce wear, abrasion, galling and fretting. Typical parts include bearings and fasteners, components for landing gear and flight control actuation. Moreover, PVD coatings are increasingly used as an environmentally safe alternative to hard chromium plating and replacement for thicker coating technologies such as plasma spray. Ionbond France SAS offers coating services from four coating facilities in France serving customers in the aerospace, motorsport, medical, decorative as well as cutting and forming tool industries. Additional coating equipment capacity has been added to our Paris center in 2016 with further coating capacity soon to arrive at both our Paris and Lyon facilities allowing us to maintain very rapid turnaround times.
